My Windows are Dirty!!
Healing is not always butterflies and rainbows. Like every path in life, it is a journey.
Good morning, (or good afternoon, or good evening)! Welcome to my blog.
I have been in this position many times. 'Today, I will start to blog'.
I go strong for many days, sometimes weeks, then, I fail.
But, what I've learned about failure is that you learn from failure. My pattern up until now is to get discouraged and give up, quickly. But, thanks to the many people out in the world who want to make a difference, (like Reshma Saujani in her awesome TED talk on bravery and girls), I've discovered that it is ok to scuff your knees every once in a while, or perhaps even break a limb. Because, it is through pain that we learn, that we grow, that we become brave. And it's these lessons that are meant for us as individuals to hear.
(Oh, goodness, if I'm going to start this blogging thing in my dining room, I NEED to clean these windows).
Sorry, I had to include my ADD insert; my windows are very dirty. On a sunny day like today, it's downright disgusting to look at them.
So, this new blog, even though it's on my acupuncture website, will consist of many topics, I think.
I thought about having separate blogs for different topics, but who am I kidding. The perfectionist in me thinks this to be a realistic feat, but no, it's a recipe for disaster.
So, bear with me as I figure this out. I will post about health and wellness, primarily, in all its' glory. But, if you follow me on social media, you may have noticed that my idea of health and wellness, (and I believe this is a universal thought, not just mine), has many facets. And selfishly, I will often post about stuff that makes me happy, because after all, happiness=health, right?
Ok, my 20 minute writing timer is almost finished. My first day of writing is complete. Setting a timer, by the way, is a great way to get things done. I've amazed myself with how quickly I can get the most-dreaded things done. (By the way, I'm a huge procrastinator, I will post about that later). So, at 2:35 minutes to go, I am going to wrap this blog post up, edit it, and post. Day 1 is a success.
Yours always in health,
